Army's special recruitment drive soon in Doda

Doda, Aug 13 (UNI) To eradicate terrorism from society, the Army will launch a special recruitment drive here so that the youths of the district could serve the nation with zeal and zest.

This was stated by Commander Suigarh of 4 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Bihar Brigadier A K Ganguly at Dak Banglow, Bhadarwah where pre-Independence Day Function was organised by the regiment today.

Brig Ganguly informed the gathering that the Army will launch a special recruitment drive, particularly in the most militancy-infested district in the Jammu province.

The Army commander stressed on improving the relationship between the civilians and the Army.

''At this moment, civic issues are the main agenda,'' he said, extending full cooperation to the civic bodies under the 'Operation Sadbhavana' projects.

Brig Ganguly exhorted all to work fearlessly for the betterment of the district as well as society as a whole and maintain communal harmony for the progress of the nation.

Army officers also interacted with prominent citizens, mediapersons and various political and religious leaders as part of the Army's 'Winning The Heart and Minds' drive. The participants, including general secretary of the Anjuman-E-Islamia Ghulam Nabi Ganai, extended full support to him for the purpose.

Commanding Officer (CO) 4 RR Deepak Garg, 2 IC 4 RR Col S Bhaduria and other officials of the regiment were also present on the occasion.
