960 outposts set up to curb diseases among animals

Lucknow, Aug 13 (UNI) To curb water-borne diseases among animals, the Uttar Pradesh government has established about 960 outposts in the flood-hit districts.

''Directions have been given to all the chief vet officers to ensure no animal fall prey to diseases or hunger,'' Additional Director (animal husbandry) P A Gautam said here today.

The animals should be treated with necessary vaccines and medicines, he instructed.
