3 killed, 17 injured in north Kashmir blast, three critical

Baramulla, Aug 13 (UNI) A cobbler from Rajasthan was among three people killed and 17 others wounded in a grenade blast at Bandipora in north Kashmir this afternoon.

Unidentified militants hurled a hand grenade at crowded Nowpora chowk at Bandipora, which exploded on the roadside causing injuries to 20 people.

Among the injured, the cobbler Shama Ram and two locals Yavar Rafiq and Ghulam Mohammad Lone died before they could be shifted to hospital.

The other injured were admitted to different hospitals, where the condition of the three of them is stated to be critical.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
