10 employees found absent during inspection of RTO office

Varanasi, Aug 13 (UNI) Departmental action has been recommended against 10 employees, found absent without any valid reason, during a surprise inspection of the RTO office by a district administration team here today.

The team led by District Magistrate Veena Kumari Meena and also comprising Additional District Magistrate (City) Indra Vikram Singh conducted a surprise inspection of the RTO office in Ashapur area.

As many as 10 employees at the office were found absent from duty without any reason or leave following which the DM recommended departmental action against the erring employees, official sources said.

The team also seized the attendance register and the service book. At least four people suspected to be brokers were detained for further enquiry, while a man claiming to be a lawyer was allowed to go after proper verification, sources added.

Ms Meena later told newspersons that the RTO has been directed to get the western wall of the office closed to prevent the entry of brokers.
