PoK visitor dies in Jammu
Jammu, Aug 12 (UNI) A septuagenarian from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), who had come to see his relatives on the Indian side after 60 years of separation, died of a cardiac arrest at Rajouri, police sources today said.
Tufail Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain, a resident of Panjara in Kotli (PoK), had come along with his wife Gulzara Begum to meet his close relations living at Shahdara Sharief in Rajouri here.
The couple had crossed over to this side from Chakkan Da Bagh LoC crossing point in Poonch district on July 30 and was scheduled to move back tomorrow.
Their relative, Khursheed Ahmed brought Mr Hussain to the government district hospital Rajouri yesterday after he complained of chest pain.
''Despite medical care his condition worsened and he breathed his last 1615 hrs yesterday,'' sources said.
The district administration Poonch has communicated to their counterparts on the other side and planned to send the body of the deceased to his native place via Chakkan- Da- Bagh LoC point today, sources added.
