'No threat to UPA Govt over nuclear deal'
Chennai, Aug 12: Union Minister of Steel, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Ram Vilas Paswan, today dismissed any threat to UPA Government at the Centre in the wake of differences with the Left over the Indo-US nuclear deal.
Talking to reporters here, he said the Left parties had their own agenda regarding US.
''But now that the Prime Minister is scheduled to issue a statement in Parliament tomorrow and later hold discussions with the Left I don't see any embarassment to the government,'' he said.
Mr Paswan, whose Lok Jansakthi Party (LJP) is a consituent of the UPA, ridiculed the BJP on the issue saying they were 'nowhere to be seen in Parliament' to play the role of the Opposition.
