Gas cylinder explosion in Kolkata

Kolkata, Aug 12: One person was feared dead while two others were critically injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a McDonald's outlet in Park Street here this morning.

According to initial information, the gas cylinder explosion occured in the morning at a time when people usually come to Park Street for breakfast in the upmarket cafeterias.

The injured were rushed to SSKM Hospital.

Traffic has been stopped on Park Street, fire engines have reached the spot and police investigation was on.

Two people were roasted alive in a cylinder explosion in a hospital canteen a couple of months ago.
