Fast observed to protest against demolition of 'Ramar Sethu'

Puducherry, Aug 12 (UNI) Members of the 'Ramar Sethu' Protection Movement comprising the Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP), Hindu Munnani and VHP today observed a ten hour fast here to protest against the demolition of 'Ramar Sethu' for Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project.

The fast led by 'Ramar Sethu' Protection Movement Convenor Sanil Kumar and BJP unit President Visveswaran demanded the Centre to drop the canal project and protect the 'Ramar Sethu'.
