Couple sacrifice daughter for son

Hardoi, Aug 12 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a couple sacificed their twelve-year-old daughter today, as per an exorcist's advice, to beget a son.

The incident took place in Pihani area, where Girija Shankar, a clerk at PWD, Kanpur, and his wife absconded after sacrificing their daughter.

According to police, the family was under the influence of an exorcist, who had asked them to sacrifice one among their four daughters to placate god.

Meanwhile, the body was recovered and the 'tantrik' arrested.
