Centre to come out with new price control proposal for drugs
Chennai, Aug 12 (UNI) Union Minister of Steel, Chemicals and Fertilizers Ram Vilas Paswan today said the Centre would come out with a new proposal to control the prices of life-saving drugs and ensure that the prices remained within the reach of the common man.
Talking to newspersons at the airport here, he said the new proposal had been sent for the Cabinet approval.
''Once the Cabinet approves the new proposal, then there will be a uniform and controlled pricing system across the country not only for life saving drugs but also for most of the essential drugs'', he added.
Mr Paswan said ''the new proposal would also curb the manufacturing of duplicate drugs''.
