Brick kiln cashier murdered, Rs 8,000 looted

Varanasi, Aug 12 (UNI) A labourer at a brick kiln in Lohta area here has decamped with Rs 8,000 in cash after allegedly murdering the cashier of the kiln.

Chandra Deo Ram Bind (65) was firstly murdered by labourer Shoshan and then, the body was thrown into a well late last night. The accused later decamped with Rs 8,000, which was kept in the custody of the aged cashier, police said here today.

The body, recovered from the well this morning, has been sent for post-mortem and a manhunt launched to nab the absconding labourer.
