200 road and water proj in central Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 12: A massive development programme has been launched in the central Kashmir district of Budgam under which nearly 200 road projects and water supply schemes, at a total cost of about Rs 195 crore, are under progress.
An official spokesman said for ensuring smooth completion of various projects, the NABARD would provide loan of Rs 16 crore.
A 6.3 MW capacity receiving station was nearing completion at Aachgam, he added.
He said the government stressed to consolidate the on-going schemes within the stipulated time frame and exhorted officers to give thrust on the Centrally-sponsored schemes, aimed at providing job opportunities to the rural youth.
He announced that government is contemplating to create a separate electric division at Chadoora so that distribution system could be streamlined in the district.
He said a project of Rs 4 core had been formulated for construction of a concrete bridge at village Sail over nallah Sukhnag.
