TDP 'puts' CM real owner of Obulapuram mines

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI) The Telugu Desam Party today alleged that the Obulapuram iron ore mines in Anantapur district are owned by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in binami names.

Talking to reporters here, party deputy leader in the Assembly Nagam Janardhana Reddy and leader of Opposition in the Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao urged the Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to direct the government to make all the records pertaining to the mines available to the Opposition.

They demanded the Speaker to ensure that officials would furnish all the necessary files pertaining the issue to the TDP delegation.

Charging that the company had been illegally mining iron ore for the past two years, Janardhana Reddy questioned why the police had objected to a visit of a TDP delegation to the site earlier.
