Naidu directs TDP leaders to takeup survey of assigned lands
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (UNI) TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu today directed presidents of party district units to carry out an independent survey about the extent of assigned, forest and temple lands in their respective district and submit a report within a month to the state leadership.
Talking to mediapersons after a meeting Mr Naidu had with Presidents of the district units on the matter at the NTR Trust Bhavan, party headquarters here, senior leaders Kadiyam Srihari and Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy said the party chief had also directed district presidents to make enquiries under whose possession these lands were presently held.
The TDP leaders said the party would launch 'Bhooporatam' (land struggle) after getting the reports from the districts.
They said the party would demand the government to take away the lands held by big landlords and issue pattas for the lands which were in the hands of the poor.
