Assam: Militants kill 14 Hindi speaking people

Guwahati, Aug 11: Fourteen Hindi speaking people including six children were killed by suspected militants in Karbi Anglong district of Asaam late last night.

The militants stormed into Dolamar village under Bokajan police station and after forcing their way into the houses of four Hindi speaking families, opened indiscriminate firing.

The militants also set on fire the houses of a couple of victims family.

Karbi Longri Nationalist Liberation Front (KLNLF) is suspected to be behind the killing.

Eight other Hindi speaking people were killed in Howaraghat in the same district on August 8.

Earlier yesterday, a child was killed and 16 people injured in three blasts in the same district.
