Davanagere, Aug 11 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today urged the Union government to depute a central team to study the situation in flood hit districts immediately.

Talking to newsmen near Harihara after a half-day aerial survey of flood hit district, he alleged that the Union Government was adopting step-motherly attitude in all respects as compared to other States.

He said that he would be lead an all party delegation to Delhi and meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil in a couple of days to urge for releasing more funds to take up the relief works.

Mr Kumaraswamy appealed to the State Congress leaders to convince their Delhi leaders to treate Karnataka equally with other states.

The Chief Minister, who was earlier scheduled to make an aerial survey of seven flood affected districts could not do so due to bad weather and he could make survey in Shimoga District only.
