Jamait-ul-Mujahideen claim responsibility for Army depot fire

Srinagar, Aug 11 (UNI) A militant outfit Jamait-ul-Mujahideen (JuM) has claimed responsibility for the fire in the Army's arms and ammunition depot in south Kashmir today.

A fax statement, issued by JuM spokesman Jameel Ahmad, said three militants of the outfit fired rockets towards the army camp at Khandroo in south Kashmir district of Anantnag today at 0915 hours.

He said the rockets hit the depot causing fire. The fire has caused major damage to the depot, he claimed.

Ahmad also announced a reward of Rs five lakh for the south Kashmir commander of the outfit Taufeeq Afghani.
