'Gems sector has witnessed radical change'

Mumbai, Aug 11 (UNI) The gems and jewellery sector has undergone a radical change owing to economic liberalisation and globalisation, according to Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJPEC) chairman Sanjay Kothari.

Addressing the convocation address at the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ) here today, Mr Kothari said the students must take advantage of this situation.

Meanwhile, Shweta Shah, the top ranker in the diploma course, made a presentation titled ''Reminiscences of IIGJ'' on the occasion.
