Dismantling of foundation stone condemned
Bhubaneswar, Aug 11 (UNI) Eminent Oriya poet Rabi Singh today condemned the Orissa government for dismantling the foundation stone of a hospital.
The foundation stone was laid by Bijaya, a voluntary organisation, in 2003 at Biswanathpur in Khurda district, in memory of Mr Bhagabat Charan Panigrahi, the founder of Communist movement in the state.
Mr Singh alleged that the government dismantled the foundation stone while constructing a road under the Prime Minister's Gram Sadak Yojana.
He added that he had drawn the attention of Rural Development Minister Biswabhushan Harichandan to the incident.
According to him the act of the government was ''intolerable and unpardonable'' and he demanded reinstallation of the foundation stone.
