Diamonds worth Rs 2.5 cr stolen from gems unit

Surat, Aug 11 (UNI) Diamonds, worth Rs 2.5 crore, were stolen from a jewellery unit at Kapodara near here.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged with the police by Maganbhai Kanchabhai Kajipara, owner of Aviraj Gem Factory.

Mr Kajipara, in his complaint, has said the diamonds were kept in a locker. The diamonds were found missing and it is suspected that the thieves had made off with the booty last night.
