DDA officers involved in JJ scam transferred to non-sensitive posts
New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Close on the heels of arrest of Ashok Malhotra, the kingpin in the multi-crore land scam, the Delhi Development Authority today transferred to non-sensitive posts its four officers named in a CBI FIR filed in connection with the scam, sources in the authority said.
Assistant director J R Gaur, Deputy Director A K Misra, Assistant engineer Shyam Babu and Junior engineer S K Sharma have been transferred to non sensitive posts, the sources said.
A fifth officer involved in the scam, K S Verma, has now retired.
The five DDA officials were named in the FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with fraudulent sale of a large number of plots meant for resettlement colonies.
Documents of hundreds of plots meant for allotment to slum dwellers were allegedly recovered by the CBI during raids on the premises of Malhotra in Mukherjee Nagar in North Delhi last week.
