Contractor fine for poor maintainence of dhalaos in South Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra today fined a private contractor for insanitary conditions and poor maintenance of dhalaos in New Friends Colony.

The Mayor, who today undertook inspection of various colonies in South and Central Delhi viz. Chirag Delhi, M B Road, Madangir, R K Puram, Hauz Khas and New Friends Colony, fined M/s Delhi Waste Management Services Rs 50,000/- for insanitary conditions and poor maintenance of dhalaos in New Friends Colony in Central Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, an MCD spokesperson said.

The Mayor, who was accompanied by senior officers, also placed the Sanitary Inspector of the area under suspension with immediate effect, the spokesperson added.
