'City of Nawabs' tune in to Radio Mirchi
Lucknow, Aug 11 (UNI) The 'City of Nawabs' will now wake up to the notes of India's popular radio station 'Radio Mirchi' 98.3 FM.
The FM service promises lots of masti, gossip and gifts, packaged with music feast and the city will soon dance to the tunes of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM.
Taking its promise further to provide better-quality with innovative programming and captivate its listeners, the radio station is all set to get close and personal with Lucknowites.
Radio Mirchi enjoys an enviable position in 20 cities and broadcasts on a common frequency of 98.3 FM across the country.
Sharing his thoughts on the potential FM radio in India, Nandan Srinath, COO, Entertainment Network (India) Limited (Radio Mirchi), here said ''Radio's strength is its immense flexibility, adaptability and suitability for a modern and active life. Lots of towns today are energy starved and with the launch of radio stations across the country, radio is becoming a familiar sight.'' ''We expect the Mirchi style of programming of Radio Mirchi to revitalise radio in Lucknow, just the way we have been able to win the loyality of listeners in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and other cities.'' Today, over 20 million Indians listen to Radio Mirchi across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai (Madras), Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Patna, Jalandhar, Goa, Baroda, Bhopal, Kanpur, Rajkot, Nashik, Varanasi and Aurangabad.
After the commencement of operations in Lucknow, Entertainment Network (India) Limited (ENIL), Radio Mirchi will roll out 11 more radio stations by the end of this year, taking the total to 32 stations, he informed.
