Bandh observed to demand action against peacock poachers

Shajapur, MP, Aug 11 (UNI) A bandh was observed at Badaud town in this district demanding strict action against poachers for allegedly trying to kill national bird peacock.

Shops and business establishments remained closed in response to a bandh call given by the VHP and the Bajrang Dal.

The organisations had demanded registering of a case of poaching against three persons, who were arrested for attempting to kill peacocks.

A memorandum for Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was submitted to the tahsildar in this regard.
