Armed gang loot gold worth Rs Four Crore

Bangalore, Aug 11 (UNI) In a daring day light robbery, a four member armed gang robbed 40 Kg gold worth about Rs four Crore from a Jewelry shop in the City today after threatening the employees at gun point.

Police said that in a seven employees, including four women, after opening the shop were getting ready to receive the customers, when the culprits entered the shop as customers and suddenly came out with revolver and threatened them.

After tieing the employees and dumping them in a room, the culprits escaped with the booty within minutes in a car which was waiting for them. It was suspected that four more members of the gang were waiting in the car.

Police said that the employees were frightened as they were threatened with revolver and there was no chance to sound alarm.

The looters, in the age group of 25-30, conversed in English and Hindi.

Police said that the whole incident was recorded in the Close Circuit TV in the shop and police are sure of nabbing the culprits soon.
