Armed gang escapes with booty worth Rs 4 cr
Bangalore, Aug 11 (UNI) A four-member armed gang robbed 40 kg gold worth about Rs four crore, at gunpoint from a jewellery shop here today.
Police said after opening the shop, seven employees, including four women, were getting ready to receive the customers, when the culprits entered the shop as customers and threatened them with a revolver.
After tying and dumping them in a room, the culprits escaped with the booty in a car which was waiting for them. It is suspected that four more people were waiting in the car.
The looters, in the age group of 25-30, conversed in English and Hindi.
Police said the whole incident was recorded in the Closed circuit TV in the shop and the police are sure of nabbing the culprits soon.
