U R Rao receives Doctorate from IIT Delhi

Bangalore, Aug 10 (UNI) Former Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman U R Rao has been conferred doctorate by the Indian Institute of Delhi.

According to an ISRO release President Pratiba Patil, in her capacity as Visitor of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi was conferring the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) upon Prof U R Rao, currently Chairman of the Council of Physical Research Laboratory of the Department of Space.

Prof Rao would receive this highest honour of the Indian Institute of Technology during the Convocation to be held on August 11, 2007.
