Trial of cases pending against Prabhunath transferred to Patna

Patna, Aug 10 (UNI) Patna High Court today transferred the trial of four criminal cases pending against JD(U) MP Prabhunath Singh from Bhagalpur to district court of Patna.

A single bench of Justice Navin Sinha passed the order on a petition filed by former MLA Tarkeshwar Singh and three others.

The petitioners had alleged that Bhagalpur court was biased and fair trial in the cases, was not possible there.

Earlier, Patna High Court had stayed the trial in all the concerned cases at Bhagalpur.

UNI
