Remanants of Dadua Shankar gangs join Thokia

Fatehpur, Aug 10 (UNI) Dreaded docoit Ambika Patel alias Thokia has received a shot in the arm with members of the gangs of slain brigands Dadua and Shankar joining his ranks.

The terror of notorious Thokia, carrying a bounty of Rs three lakh on his head, haunts the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The aides of outlaw Dadua and Shankar had joined the Thokia gang after their chiefs were killed in police encounters few days back, sources told UNI here.

About six aides of deceased Dadua, carrying a reward of Rs five lakh on his head, have merged with Thokia under the leadership of aide Radhey alias Subedar.

While, the remaining members of Shankar dacoit gang, carrying bounty of Rs 50,000 on its head, had joined the outlaw under the leadership of Umar Kewat.

Besides, the power of dacoit Thokia had also shot up with the increase in weapons, acquired by the joining aides. The weapons comprise SLRs, AK-47s and Springfield Magnum rifles.
