Pay Commission for government employees: Khandu
Itanagar, Aug 10 (UNI): Arunachal Pradesh government is contemplating setting up of a state pay commission for government employees.
Chief Minsiter Dorjee Khandu disclosed this while interacting with Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS) officers at Tawang, when a group of officers called on him yesterday to apprise him of their grievances, informed official sources here today.
"We have to treat everyone in a uniform manner," Mr Khandu said without elaborating on the government's latest proposal.
Assuring the officers to look into their demands, the chief minister said that he would have a thorough discussion with the chief secretary as time-bound pay enhancement would require huge financial involvement. He, however, expressed hope that upgradation of some additional deputy commissioner posts would address the problems of the officers.
" The officers pleaded the chief minister to fulfil their demands including time-bound pay enhancement, convening regular annual meetings of departmental promotion committee (DPC) besides complying with 50:50 proportion of officers in rural development department." Meanwhile, Mr Khandu directed the district administration to take stern action against those people occupying government quarters, school buildings and children park, sources added.
