More Anganwari Centres for uncovered areas in J and K
Srinagar, Aug 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to bring more areas under various beneficiary schemes of social welfare.
In order to deliberate upon the need and the criteria to be adopted to give an effect to the suggestions a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Haji Nissar The meeting was told that upto January 1st, 2004 the state had 10,455 Anganwari Centres and another 1500 were sanctioned under Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme.
In the 2nd phase 6711 centres were sanctioned taking the total number of sanctioned centres to 25,488 centres as on May 17, 2007.
The meeting also discussed the procedures for simplifying the structure of format in order to make it simple and easily comprehensible.
It also decided that the forms would be launched on the official website of the department from which interested and deserving applicants could download them.
