150-metre 'chadar' offered at Shahjahan's grave
Agra, Aug 10 (UNI) A 150-metre 'chadar' was offerred at the graves of Mughal emperor Shahjahan and his consort Mumtaz Mahal on the occasion of his 352nd 'urs' celebrations.
Both the graves are present underneath the Taj Mahal.
Mughal dynasty descendent Prince Yaqoob Habibuddin Tusi and his extended family attended the function.
The 'urs' celebrations started yesterday at the Taj Mahal.
Although, the tourists are not allowed to visit the graves, the place has been opened for three days to allow people to offer 'chadars'.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements had been made at the world famous monument in view of large numbers of visitors.
The number of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans had been increased, official sources said here.
