UPA to fight unitedly to ensure Mahto's win : Koda
Jamshedpur,Aug 9 (UNI) Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda today said the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) in the state remain intact and claimed that the UPA-backed JMM candidate Suman Mahto would win the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha bypoll with thumping majority.
Mr Koda, who came here on the occasion of filing of nomination papers of Mrs Mahto, the widow of the slain JMM MP Sunil Mahto, said there was 'no ifs and buts' about the winning of the UPA candidate.
'' We have given a strong candidate and all the constituents-the Congress, the RJD and the left parties are extending support to Mrs Mahto to ensure a historic win,'' he told newspersons.
He said the BJP would meet the same fate like Palamau Parliamentary bypoll where the party had to eat humble pie to the UPA candidate.
When pointed out the differences between the JMM and the Congress over appointment of JMM's Ram Das Soren as in-charge in the Ghatshila Assembly segment and the Ghatshila MLA and the state Congress president Pradip Kumar Balmuchu's subsequent objection to it, Mr Koda said it was not a big problem and could be solved amicably.
