A 23-year-old women seriously injured in acid attack by her husband

Mysore, Aug 9 (UNI) In a macabre incident, a 23 year-old women received 90 per cent burn injuries when her husband allegedly poured acid over her after forcibly making her drink the acid mixed with liquor.

Police said that Fairoz Ahmed Khan, an habitual drunker, used to quarrel with his wife Heena Fathima demanding money for buying liquor.

Last night the quarrel continued and Fairoz forced her wife to drink liquor mixed with acid and poured on her body also.

Heena, who was admitted to K R Hospital, was battling for life.

Police have arrested Fairoz.
