Rainfall in many parts of Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 8 (UNI) Rain occurred at most places in Kerala and at a few places in Lakshadweep, a local weather office said here today.
A heavy rainfall of eight cm was recorded in Kuppadi, followed by seven cm in Vadakara.
The other chief amounts of rainfall reported in cm were Kannur five, Aluva, Kasaragod, Perumbavoor, Ambalavayal, Kollamgode, Chittur, Pattambi, Wadakkancherry, Paravoor, Nedumbassery airport and Thodupuzha three each, it said.
Rain or thundershowers will occur in most parts of the state during the next 24 hours.
Isolated heavy rainfall was likely in the state, it said and cautioned that strong onshore winds with speed occasionaly reaching 45-55 kmph were likely along and off Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep, during the next 48 hours.
