Quit India Movement to coincide with "Modi Quit Power" in Guj
Ahmedabad, Aug 8 (UNI) Even as the Narendra Modi government is preparing for celebrations of 'Quit India Movement' tomorrow, Gujarat Congress will take out a protest rally with the banner 'Modi Gaddi Chhodo' or 'Modi Quit Power'.
''We are taking out this rally tomorrow in protest against Chief Minister Narendra Modi's government that has failed on every front.
The rally will be led by Gujarat Congress president Bharatbhai Solanki and comprise the Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Arjun Modhwadia, Union Textile Minister Shankarsingh Vaghela, Narhari Amin, Shaktisingh Gohel and Sidhdharth Patel. It will start from sector Gh-3 of Gandhinagar and culminate at the assembly premises,'' Gujarat Congress general secretary Girish Parmar told reporters here.
''The rally will highlight the Modi government's failures on various fronts like the high rate of unemployment, deteriorating condition of law and order, atrocities on women and dalits, cases of mass suicide and spiralling prices of essential commodities,'' he said.
