Non-bailable warrant issued against VMC food inspector

Vadodara, Aug 8 (UNI) A local court today issued a non-bailable warrant against Vadodara Municipal Corporation's (VMC) food inspector B C Patel for consistently ignoring court summons to present himself regarding five case he had filed in the court.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him.

Mr Patel had filed five cases between 1995 and 1998 against street vendors over food adulteration.

The cases could not be disposed off since Mr Patel had not attended the court even once. He is now likely to be arrested anytime.
