Lashker militant killed in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 8 (UNI) Security forces today killed a militant of Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) in north Kashmir.

Police said the Army and the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation in village Hanjipora in the frontier district of Kupwara this morning.

During the operation, an encounter took place in which an LeT militant was killed. One AK assault rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant, the police said.
