Irregularities in running district hospital, eight suspended

Shivpuri, MP, Aug 8 (UNI) Taking serious note of widespread irregularities in running the district hospital, the Collector has suspended eight employees besides issuing show-cause notices to three doctors, official sources said today.

Collector Manish Srivastava has issued show-cause notices to civil surgeon Dr S K Kumra and women doctors Dr Veena Kumra and Dr Sunita Jain and sought reply within a week.

Besides, hospital employees Pratibha Dawle, Suman Patil, Rambai, Radhabai, Hargovind Jatav, Mahesh Pal, Kailash and Ravi Bhatnagar were suspended.

The Collector had inspected the hospital on August 6. He found women and infants lying in the verandah and gross negligence was reported in some delivery cases.

The Collector took the action on the basis of a report submitted by inquiring officer Sub-Divisional Magistrate Aditya Singh Tomar.
