HC stays B Ed admissions under govt quota
Chennai, Aug 8 (UNI) Madras High Court stayed the admission of students for B Ed courses in the unaided self-financing institutions under the government quota here yesterday.
A bench, comprising Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice P Jyothimani, gave the order while passing interim orders on a petition filed by Tamil Nadu Self-Financing Colleges of Education Management Association President R Tamil Mani.
The Judges said, ''the respondents can receive the applications, but shall not process them. Students shall not be admitted until further orders of this court.'' The matter was then adjourned to August 13 for a further hearing.
