GSFC cheated to the tune of Rs 10 crore

Vadodara, Aug 8 (UNI) Gujarat State Fertiliser Corporation (GSFC) today filed a complaint against Ujjain-based defunct Synthetics Private Ltd (SPL) company for allegedly cheating it to the tune of Rs 10 crore.

According to the complaint filed by GSFC Deputy GM (Marketing) C M Ambegaonkar, SPL had purchased comprolactum powder from GSFC in April 2002 under a contract. The company made a part payment for the purchase but defaulted on paying Rs 10 crores. Later, it became insolvent.

The Detection unit of the Crime Branch (DCB), Vadodara have registered an FIR in the case against SPL MD Srikanth Bangaru and 10 directors of the company who have been identified as R R Baladi, Tara Purohit, V K Vyas, M Madiya, Rajgopal Vyas (additional director), B J Purushottam, Om Prakash Agarwal, Kailash Chahuhan Mohanty, Devendra Kumar Garg, Radheshyam Mohanty and Sachitnath Chaturvedi.
