Dr M A M Ramaswamy declared as leading owner of the season

Bangalore, Aug 8 (UNI) Industralist Dr M A M Ramaswamy, MP, was adjudged as leading individual owner by the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC).

He has also bagged the championship memento for leading joint owners and Champion horse's owners of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2007 which concluded here today.

BTC Chairman and Senior Steward Marilingaiah said that Dr Ramaswamy bagged the individual owner memento having stake amount of Rs 1.71 Crore. Dr Ramaswamy shared the leading joint owners memento with Poonawalla Racing and Breeding Limited with stakes of Rs 57 lakhs.

Champion Trainer: S Ganapathy with 25 winners, Champion Jockey: B Prakash with 32 winners, Champion Indian Jockey claiming allowance S John with 9 winners. Poonbawalla Stud Farm with 27 winners, Bookmaker (First enclosure) M/s Om Enterprises with a total field money of Rs 31 lakhs, in second enclosure M/s B N K Enterprises with a total field money of five lakhs, also declared Leading Tipster is Prajavani (News paper) and Bol (Race card publisher).

Champion horse 'Burbon King' with stakes of Rs 98 lakhs, trained by S Ganapathy and bred at Poonawalla stud farm. The Horse of the season 'Fairy Taleending' having won three races and places fourth twice, property of Mr D Khaitan and A K S Brar, trained by Arjun Mangalorkar.
