Cathay appoints Katie Rowen as Port Manager of Delhi

Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways today announced the appointment of Katie Rowen as its Port Manager for Delhi and Northern India.

Ms Rowen takes over Richard McCallum who left the airline to start a venture of his own, a statement said here.

She will be responsible for the revenue and sales functions, cost control and budgeting and smooth running of all operations.

In addition, she will also oversee personnel-related functions and be responsible for promoting a positive image of the company amongst media and other stakeholders.

Prior to her present assignment, she had been working in Tokyo as Assistant to airline's General Manager during which she worked with teams across the country, including airports, engineering, cargo, sales, marketing and reservations.

''Ms Rowen has been associated with Cathay Pacific since 2004 and thus brings a wealth of experience and keen insight to her new profile, Tom Wright, airline's General Manager for India, Pakistan Middle East and Africa said.

''India is one of the most vibrant markets in the world today and I am delighted to take over as Port Manager for Delhi and Northern India. I look forward to consolidating Cathay's presence in the country and growing the business further,'' said Katie on her new assignment.

One of the major airlines across the globe, Cathay Pacific currently operates through 16 offices in India. The airline flies four times a week from Delhi to Hong Kong as well as four times a week from Mumbai to Hong Kong via Bangkok and four times a week to Dubai.
