BSP to try ''social alliance'' in Haryana too
Karnal, Aug 8 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will not enter into any political alliance in Haryana but it will certainly make way for the ''social alliance'' on the pattern of Uttar Pradesh.
This was stated here today by Haryana BSP president Prakash Bharti at a 'meet the press' programme organised by the District Press Club.
Mr Bharti said the party's special awarness programme in 12,500 booths of all the 90 assembly constituencies in the state was on.
Thereafter, the agitational phase against the anti-people policies of the government would start, he said.
Criticising the Hooda government, he alleged it had broken all records of corruption in the state.
''The Chief Minister does't look beyond Reliance and Jindal. His moves would further reduce the area of cultivable land in the state.'' Disputing the claim of the Chief Minister that the 'goondas' in the state had been eliminated, he said 130 houses of Balmikis were torched in Gohana. Members of Sansi community in Meham were tortured and attacked by them even in police station, he alleged.
He said if voted to power, the BSP would provide rice and wheat at the rate of Rs two per kg to the landless and unemployed people irrespective of caste and religion.
