Badal gives Rs two lakh to late scribe's family

Chandigarh, Aug 8 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sent a special grant of Rs two lakh to the family of the celebrated journalist, late Dalbir Singh who passed away last week.

The cheque was delivered to Ms Jasbir Kaur, widow of the late scribe, by the chief minister's media advisor Harcharan Bains on the behalf of Mr Badal.

Mr Bains assured Ms Kaur of continuing moral and material support of the Punjab Government to the bereaved family.

Mr Bains was accompanied by the Information and Public Relations Secretary Jagjit Puri and Deputy Director of the Press Megha Singh.
