93 bonded child labourers rescued in Delhi
New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) As many as 93 bonded child labourers have been rescued from a jewellery shop in Delhi's Karol Bagh area with the intervention of the Delhi Grievances Commission.
Of the total number of children rescued 57 were below the age of 14 years, an official release said today.
The All India Bhrastachar Vorodhi Morcha had filed a complaint with the Chief Minister's office which had forwarded it to the Delhi Public Grievances Commission.
The Commission had also sought comments from the Labour Commissioner which said action had been initiated against the jeweller under the Bonded Labour (Abolition) System.
