Youth rally to mark Bhagat Singh's birth centenary on Sept 28

Jalandhar, Aug 7 (UNI) To commemorate Shaheed Bhagat Singh's birth centenary on September 28, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Naujawan Sabha Punjab and Punjab Students Federation will jointly organise a youth rally at his birthplace Khatkar Kalan in Nawashahar district.

Naujawan Sabha general secretary Pragat Singh Jamarai and Punjab Student Federation general secretary Sukhjitpal Singh Tur in a joint press conference said that in preparation to the rally, jathas would march in the state, starting from the historical places like Jallianwala Bagh, Khatkar Kalan and Sarabha.

They said the jathas would propogate the issues and problems, such as increasing disparity between rich and poor, unemployment, illiteracy, corruption, communalism and would educate youths and students, work to build a society based on the dreams of Shaheed-e-Azam-Bhagat Singh.

These jathas would also visit the native villages of freedom frighters, who laid their lives for the freedom of the country from the clutches of British imperialists.
