TN Workers Federation to resort to agitation
Kancheepuram, Aug 7: Tamil Nadu Workers Federation President and Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK) MP A K Murthy said the Federation would resort to a massive agitation in the State Secretariat on August 9 to press various demands.
Talking to newspersons here yesterday, he said the demands included wage agreement of the transport employees be changed from five years to three years and steps to promote them as government employees.
Mr Murthy said pension should be awarded to employees in transport department. The government should also take steps to provide employment to the kith and kin of the deceased employees, he added.
He said the PMK founder S Ramadoss had taken steps to promote the Federation for the welfare of workers.
