GoAir offers free tickets to senior citizens
New Delhi, Aug 7: On the eve of 60 years of India's independence, GoAir is offering senior citizens a free ticket to fly to any of its destinations.
The airline's airport counters across the country will offer free tickets to senior citizens (60 years and above) from tomorrow. They need to present their age proof for flying to 11 GoAir destinations from August 10 to 31.
Tickets will need to be booked at least two days prior to the travel date. Only the taxes and surcharge (about Rs 1,575) will be borne by the passengers.
''Considering that 80 per cent of the country's senior citizens have never flown in their life, we at GoAir would love to give them this great opportunity to explore India,'' said GoAir's managing director Jeh Wadia.
The airline has 59 daily flights to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Mumbai and Srinagar.
