Gang of Bangladeshi robbers busted in South West Delhi
New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a gang of interstate robbers with the arrest of seven Bangladeshi nationals, including the gang leader, from South Delhi.
Rafiqul Islam (35), the gang leader, Mohammad Nezaan (22), Mohammad Jafar (24), Mohammad Badal Khan (22), Mohammad Aakash (23), Mohammad Dalim (26) and one juvenile criminal-- all Bangladeshi nationals-- were arrested from near Rajokari forest area lastnight.
The accused had allegedly committed a robbery in Vasant Kunj yesterday morning. Police said the gang was mainly active in Gurgaon and would also strike in Delhi.
Police recovered cash and foreign currency, gold and silver jewellery (more than 25 items), electronic items, including six digital cameras and camcorders, six mobile-phones, six watches, 3 pistols, several live cartridges, 4 knives, khukris, iron rods and large screwdrivers.
During interrogation, they admitted to being involved in several incidents of robbery in NCR region, mainly in Gurgaon.
